Southwestern resident Gwynn Morgan finds endless inspiration in the exciting history, diverse natural beauty and rich and varied cultural heritage of this incredible region. She discovered the twin wonders of reading and writing in early childhood, uncovering the marvelous truth seen by her Celtic ancestors a millennium or two earlier that in words lay the most powerful and potent of magic!

After earning her master’s in history and pursuing a career as a civilian employee of the Army and Air Force, she settled into a second career creating exciting women’s fiction. She also writes verse, which was actually her beginning genre of choice since she scribed her first poems at the age of eight. Of course most of these are about either love or nature, two themes that dominate much of her creative life.

Gwynn grew up in Arizona’s beautiful Verde Valley and has lived in a rural area in Arizona’s colorful Cochise County, locale of historic Tombstone and Fort Huachuca; in the old smelter town of Hurley, New Mexico in Grant County’s historically rich mining district; and currently resides in Colorado Springs, although she intends to return to more southerly regions in the future. She shares her home with one canine companion, Belle, a purebred Australian Shepherd, for whom she serves as chauffer and household staff. As a self-styled Renaissance woman, Gwynn refuses to specialize or restrict herself to any one or ten interests. She enjoys reading, art and crafts, lapidary, gardening, bird watching, target shooting, hiking, astronomy, ethnic/folk/new age music, sewing and photography to name just a few of her many hobbies.

A prolific writer, Gwynn currently has ten romantic adventure novels in print and e-book formats, a two-volume collection of romantic verse and some shorter works. Writing as Deirdre O’Dare, she has a number of shorter works of erotic romance to include four anthology collections in print with another due out soon and numerous electronic offerings.
